We Say

The Rupes DA ultra fine pad is the perfect pad for finishing those soft and easily marked paint finishes that can be difficult to get a perfect finish on.

Used with an ultra fine finishing polish such as Rupes UNO PURE or Menzerna 3800 it can remove extremely fine swirling leaving an ultra glossy blemish free finish.

The design of the foam means it is also possible to apply glazes and waxes with the Ultrafine pad, ensuring a nice thin even coat and speeding up the application of your chosen protection product.

Key Features

cut level 0/10 (compared to others)
flexibility 8/10 (compared to others)
washable yes (by hand)

Description

The DA Ultrafine pad is the finest grade of foam in the RUPES DA range designed for ultra high gloss finishing and polish of soft and difficult to finish paint surfaces. The unique material composition of the DA Ultra Fine pad means it can also be used for the application of sealants and waxes when no correction is required.

Pair it with Uno Pure to remove extremely fine defects or to bring out a show car level of finish.

How To Use

General usage notes:

(i)Always select the least aggressive pad you think you will need to achieve the desired result, and step up one grade at a time if more cut is required.
(ii)Always ensure that you centre each pad properly on the backing plate (this can take several attempts to get right, but is vital if the machine is to remain perfectly balanced during use).
(iii)Always use an appropriate sized pad for the backing plate you are using (the pad should always protrude past the edge of the backing plate, never the other way around).
(iv)Always prime a new pad by loading it with 2-6 pea-sized drops of product (depending on pad size) and running it stationary on the paint for 30 seconds at speed 1.
(v)Always ensure that spent polish residue on the face of the pad is brushed off regularly during use using a RUPES BigFoot Claw Pad Tool (failure to follow this advice can lead to micromarring of the finish.
(vi)After use, clean the pads with warm water and mild soap(using your fingertips to massage out any remaining polish residue), rinse with running water and allow to dry naturally.
(vii) While not in use, store in a dry, dust-free environment (lidded plastic storage boxes are ideal in this respect).

Tips for succes:

Clean pads frequently during use with compressed air, a vacuum or a Rupes Claw Pad Tool to maintain consistent performance.

Do not over-saturate the pad with compound. Too much compound can lead to diminished performance.

Avoid the use of solvent based compounds and cleaners to prevent damage to the foam cell structure.
