Paint protection film (PPF) technology has evolved rapidly over the last decade, but one thing that hasn't changed is that it remains relatively tricky to maintain. Like other exterior automotive surfaces, paint protection film is constantly exposed to the elements, and becomes degraded and contaminated over time. This can often be seen, in the form of dullness and yellowing, and felt, in the form of reduced surface slickness. Hitherto, the options for restoring and maintaining paint protection film have been limited to products designed for other surfaces, which has always made it a bit of a hit and miss process (and, in our experience, a little bit stressful at times!). Gyeon Q²M PPF Renew changes all this, as it's the first paint protection film maintenance product to combine a strong restorative action with the application of silica-based protection. In formulating it, Gyeon have done away with the need for separate steps and produced an outstanding product that is compatible with all types of glossy paint protection film, including modern self-healing films.

Description

Gyeon Q²M PPF Renew is an all in one polish and protectant formulated specifically for use on glossy paint protection films, including modern self-healing films. In a single step it deep cleans the surface of the film and restores its slickness and gloss, while simultaneously laying down a fresh barrier layer of protection. It achieves this using light abrasive particles and SiO2-based protective additives. The light abrasive particles clean and burnish the surface of the film, removing bonded contaminants and minor defects, and restoring its smoothness and gloss. The SiO2-based protective additives form a layer of fresh surface protection with strong self-cleaning properties and a high level of UV and chemical resistance, which helps to prevent the film from yellowing over time. If an even higher level of protection is desired, Gyeon Q²M PPF Renew can be topped with Gyeon Q² CanCoat without any additional preparatory steps. Gyeon Q²M PPF Renew is free of silicones and fillers, and performs equally well whether applied by hand or dual action machine.

How To Use

Gyeon Q²M PPF Renew is suitable for use on all glossy paint protection films and can be applied equally well by hand or dual action machine. By hand, it should be applied using a SCHOLL Concepts Polishing Puck. Only 1-2 pea-sized drops of product are required to polish a 12 x 12 area, and these should be worked in as firmly and evenly as possible until only a hint of residue remains. This residue should then be buffed off using a PB Super Buffing Towel. For best results using a dual action polisher, Gyeon Q²M PPF Renew should be applied using a Gyeon Q²M Eccentric Finishing Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per 18 x 18 area, and these should be worked in thoroughly at 2000-3000 orbits per minute (speed 2-3 on most dual action polishers) until only a hint of residue remains. This residue should then be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.
