There's nothing worse than getting into a nicely detailed car only to get a whiff of something unpleasant when you turn the air-conditioning on. And, if you've ever been in this position, you'll know that once you've smelt it, there's no getting away from it, no matter how good the rest of the interior looks. Unfortunately, this is quite a common problem, particularly on cars that are fitted with manual air-conditioning as opposed to climate control systems (at least in our personal experience anyway). Of course, there are preventative measures you can take to look after the air-conditioning system in your car, like operating it at least once a week (even in the winter) and running it for ten minutes in full defrost mode at least once a month (even in the summer), but it's easy to forget these things. The best advice we can offer is to leave your air-conditioning system switched on all year round and simply adjust the cabin temperature to suit, but if you're past the point of no return (i.e. whenever you switch it on your interior suddenly smells like a mouldy old fridge) then try the Bilt Hamber air con bomb CITRUS instead. Description
The Bilt Hamber air con bomb CITRUS provides a fast and effective way to sanitise and deodorise vehicle interiors. Air-conditioning systems draw external air into cars and, despite the presence of filters, it's not unusual for spores and other organic contaminants find their way into the maze of pipes and ducts that supply treated air to the passenger compartment. Due to the rapid cooling that occurs when the air-conditioning is employed, condensation often forms on the internal surfaces of the air distribution system, and this provides an ideal breeding ground for the growth of bacteria, fungi and mould. This often produces unpleasant odours when the air-conditioning system is used. The Bilt Hamber air con bomb CITRUS combats such odours by killing such organisms with a citrus-scented biocide and depositing molecules that effectively neutralise odours at their source. The air-conditioning system and the vehicle interior are thus left sanitised and protected against odour formation for up to six months.

How To Use
Shake the canister well before use, and make sure that all of the windows are shut and all of the internal air vents are open. Slide the passenger seat back fully and stand the canister in the front foot well (try to position it in such a way as to prevent it from discharging directly on to any surfaces; note that the contents will discharge vertically). Next, turn the engine on and set the air-conditioning to maximum cooling (i.e. lowest temperature and highest fan speed) in recirculation mode. After two minutes depress the one shot valve on the top of the canister (making sure your head isn't directly over it) and close all of the doors; note that once the valve is activated it cannot be shut off. After three minutes open the front doors fully, turn off the engine and then leave the car to air for a minimum of ten minutes before driving it. We recommend repeating this process every six months for daily drivers, or annually for garage queens.
