We Say

SCHOLL Concepts S20 Black is a relatively recent addition to the SCHOLL Concepts line up of compounds and polishes and, like its forbears, uses the same one-step diminishing abrasive technology to great effect, albeit with the addition of a neat party trick; extra cut and extra gloss. These two parameters are usually mutually exclusive, but thanks to further development of their intelligent Powder Technology (iPT) concept, SCHOLL Concepts have made the impossible possible. SCHOLL Concepts S20 Black cuts like an aggressive cutting compound but finishes down like an ultra-fine finishing polish; as long as you select the right pad for the job you will always produce a last step product ready finish in just a single polishing step (you may still need to perform multiple sets on some panels, but you won't ever need to revert to a multi-stage refining process). This makes it, by quite some margin, the best one-step compound on the market right now, almost to the point where it could arguably be called the Holy Grail of polishes. By hand or machine, it delivers outstanding results.

Description

SCHOLL Concepts S20 Black is a one-step high performance cutting compound designed to cover a wide range of correction duties on all common paint systems, including modern ceramic nano-particle and scratch-resistant clearcoats, and conventional paint finishes too. SCHOLL Concepts S20 Black uses state of the art high-purity aluminium oxide intelligent Powder Technology (iPT) abrasives that break down quickly in use, forming a progressively finer polishing residue. As a result, the level of cut on offer diminishes quickly from that of a moderate strength cutting compound to that of an ultra-fine finishing polish, meaning that it corrects and refines the finish in a single step. By choosing an appropriate pad for the paint type in question, the overall level of cut can be carefully controlled, meaning that perfect results can be obtained every time. To aid this further, SCHOLL Concepts S20 Black features new easy clean lubricants that optimise its efficiency and make it easy to buff off, while its filler-free formula ensures that defect removal is permanent rather than temporary.

How To Use

You can apply SCHOLL Concepts S20 Black by hand or machine, although for best results we recommend the latter. By hand, apply SCHOLL Concepts S20 Black to freshly decontaminated paint using a SCHOLL Concepts Polishing Puck. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per 12 x 12 area, and these should be worked in firmly and evenly until only an oily residue remains. This residue should then be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel. For best results using a dual action polisher, apply SCHOLL Concepts S20 Black to freshly decontaminated paint using either: (i) a SCHOLL Concepts Spider Cutting Pad (if heavy correction is required on hard paint types); (ii) a SCHOLL Concepts Spider Polishing Pad (if moderate correction is required on hard paint types, or heavy correction is required on intermediate paint types); (iii) a SCHOLL Concepts Spider Finishing Pad (if light correction is required on hard or intermediate paint types, or moderate correction is required on soft paint types), or; (iv) a SCHOLL Concepts SOFTouch Waffle Pad (if light correction is required on soft paint types). Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per 18 x 18 area, and these should be worked in thoroughly at 4000-5000 orbits per minute (speed 4-5 on most dual action polishers), applying moderate pressure for the first 90 seconds or so, and then progressively lighter pressure for a further 90 seconds or so, until only an oily residue remains. This residue should then be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel.
